Program Goals & Objectives:

Increase High School Graduation Rates: Improve academic performance and reduce absenteeism. Expand Postsecondary Opportunities: Guide students in exploring college, trade school, military, and workforce pathways. Enhance Career Readiness: Provide job shadowing, technical skills training, and networking opportunities. Break Down Systemic Barriers: Connect students to community resources for food security, housing, and financial aid navigation. Foster Cultural Identity & Leadership Development: Offer programming that uplifts traditions, histories, and self-efficacy

Target Population:

CF serves underrepresented students aged 14-19 in King County, including: First-generation and low-income youth African American, Indigenous, Latinx, Pacific Islander, and other students of color Students at risk of dropping out due to academic or behavioral challenges Youth seeking alternatives to four-year colleges, such as trade schools and apprenticeships

Key Program Activities:

One-on-One & Group Mentorship: Leadership development and career coaching. College & Career Readiness Workshops: FAFSA completion, application assistance, resume building, and interview prep. Academic & Behavioral Support: Tutoring, attendance tracking, and intervention services. Community Resource Navigation: Connecting students to essential support services.
